I need some help in dealing with Path Social, a corporation that has stolen $515 from me. I have also contacted my bank, PayPal, and the Better Business Bureau.

It has been a nightmare dealing with Path Social. I recently started a business and have been relying solely on Instagram to build it locally. I saw an ad for Path Social on IG, and decided to check them out to help grow my business. In order to view their pricing plans, you have to provide your billing info first.

I thought this was sketchy, but trusted Path Social as they are a big corporation, right? I happened to be staying in Huatulco, Mexico, and was using slow internet. I clicked on a plan I thought was a monthly plan. The next thing I remember is a screen popping up that looked to be a loading screen as if it were charging you, and I immediately backed out of it and clicked off the whole website.

I received an email sure enough that I'd joined Path Social, so assuming it's just for one month, didn't think much about it until I realized I'd been charged two separate times by Paddle.com (Path Social) for a total of $515, one charge for $416, and one for $99. I have no idea why there are two separate charges, let alone for that whopping amount. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. My IG, meanwhile, is blowing up with nothing but bot followers thanks to Path Social, and my account is being restricted because of this.

Since I was on vacation in southern Mexico, I wasn't fully in business mode and did not catch all of this nonsense immediately.

When I reached out to Path Social within a couple of days, they assured me they cancelled my membership and refunded my money. The trouble is, this never happened. Whenever I reach out to them, I get the same canned response. I filed a case with PayPal (who I paid through) and the Better Business Bureau first.

Both have denied my case and appeals in favor of Path Social, who cites that 'a refund was processed on May 22 due to a dispute from your financial institution.' That's it. No one cares that I never received a refund. I am at my wit's end as I have not been able to pay rent because of this. I have contacted my bank that my PayPal is linked to and they said the excuse given by them is nonsensical, that they did not dispute the transactions.

My bank was supposed to send me an e-sign doc to file some sort of case (they said it is unlikely I will see any money back), but meanwhile, I couldn't access the document and am waiting on them to resolve this.

Does anyone have a similar experience or any advice on what to do?

I cannot believe a corporation as big as Path Social is really a big front for a scam.

Path Social is run by robots and scam artists. You have better and safer luck paying the random dude on IG to his private PayPal if you want bot followers.

Who do I even contact to resolve this since Path Social is nothing but robots?

User's recommendation: Stay far, far away.

Monetary Loss: $515.

Preferred solution: Full refund.
